2-7-24   THOUGHTS

Our thoughts this morning come from a class yesterday.  They are thematic, and the theme is “ALIVE”!   We Serve a living God, who gave us His son to make us alive, so that we may serve the cause of the living!  The RESURRECTION of Christ, causes a rebirth of a people with a LIVING HOPE!   As the kid’s song goes... we must learn to be ALIVE, ALERT, AWAKE and ENTHUSIASTIC!   It is in truth a “LIVING HOPE”!

1Pet 1:3   Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
“Alive Unto God”

Heb 10:20   by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh,

In John 4, Jesus talked to the Samaritan woman about living water.  He later said if she [we] drink of it, it would be “a well spring up within us”!
John 7:38-39    "He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’" 39  But this He spoke of the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive;
John 6:51   "I am the living bread that came down out of heaven; if anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread also which I will give for the life of the world is My flesh."
Rom 6:11  Even so consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus.
Rom 6:13   and do not go on presenting the members of your body to sin [as] instruments of unrighteousness; but present yourselves to God as those alive from the dead, and your members [as] instruments of righteousness to God
1Cor 15:22   For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.
1Cor 15:45   So also it is written, "The first MAN, Adam, BECAME A LIVING SOUL." The last Adam [became] a life-giving spirit.”
1Tim 4:10    For it is for this we labor and strive, because we have fixed our hope on the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of believers.
Heb 9:14-15a   how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?  15  For this reason He is the mediator of a new covenant,
1Pet 2:5   you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
Rom 12:1   Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, [which is] your spiritual service of worship.

My Prayer:
Father, awaken us to the joys of  Your salvation in Christ Jesus.  Set us in the shadow of the cross that we may fully see the blessings of Your living, eternal hope.  Help our mind to see completely, our place in eternity.  Help us daily to pursue our role in Your scheme of things.  With all of our heart, soul and mind, may we present ourselves a living sacrifice to You, O God.
